The BlueJayz are a group of well-seasoned R&B fanatics, long-time friends, and accomplished musicians. Individually, we have been playing professionally in the Portland area for nearly four decades. Recently, we combined our individual talents and a shared passion for this music. The BlueJayz play an exciting and well-rounded mix of vintage R&B, which includes Blues, Soul, Rock & Roll, Reggae, Jazz, and Funk influences from the '50s, '60s, and '70s. Instrumentation includes two electric guitars, keyboards (organ & electric pianos), electric bass, drums/percussion, and vocals, with the occasional addition of horns. |
